The Centre for Music, Liturgy and the Arts is pleased to introduce the Walk as One songbook as individual songs. While many churches and leaders purchase music books, many wonderful songs in the books lie undiscovered. This initiative provides an affordable way for churches to learn and play new music, with or without musicians.

The “Walk as One” songbook was published in 2022. The Individual Song packs provide a way for all churches, including songbook owners, to listen, learn and sing this excellent collection of songs.

Liturgical use: Sending and Mission, Easter, Pentecost, Anniversary of the UCA

Scripture reference/s: Luke 24:13-49

This song was written for the 40^th anniversary of the Uniting Church, and has been used in Assembly, Synod and Presbytery meetings as well as in congregations across Australia. The lyrics evoke themes from the Basis of Union and the melody is an uplifting, contemporary hymn. Also suitable as a choral piece.

New words to familiar hymn tunes – great for congregations who struggle a bit with learning new melodies. The words are an affirmation of both the church’s diversity and it’s common identity and call. The focus is on Christ who leads, heals and reconciles. A stirring sending out song.
