The Centre for Music, Liturgy and the Arts is pleased to introduce the Walk as One songbook as individual songs. While many churches and leaders purchase music books, many wonderful songs in the books lie undiscovered. This initiative provides an affordable way for churches to learn and play new music, with or without musicians.

The “Walk as One” songbook was published in 2022. The Individual Song packs provide a way for all churches, including songbook owners, to listen, learn and sing this excellent collection of songs.

For each song, you receive these digital resources

A copy of the sheet music score from the “Walk as One” songbook (PDF)

An audio recording of the song (high quality mp3)

A plain Powerpoint file (white text on black)

A colour Powerpoint file (white text on coloured image)

A lyric video (audio recording with song lyrics)

A plain text version of the song lyrics (for inserting into presentation software or printed orders)

BLESSING SONG

May the peace of the Lord be with you
and stay with you all of your days.
May you walk in the path of righteousness and grace
with trust in your heart.
May love be your highest calling.
May hope be your anchor and strength.
May your faith ever grow,
may your cup overflow
as you live in the life of our God.
May your faith ever grow,
may your cup overflow
as you live in the life of God.

Liturgical use: Sending, Blessing,

Scripture reference/s: Luke 24: 36, John 14:27, John 20:19-26, Philippians 4:9

David's song of blessing has a lush melody like the closing theme of an epic movie - stirring and uplifting. It can be sung by a congregation or to a congregation by a small group or choir.

PEACE BE WITH YOU

As you journey from this day,
to the challenge of tomorrow’s way:
God to guide you,
Christ beside you,
peace be with you.

In the season to come,
know the promise of the Living One:
God to guide you,
Christ beside you,
eace be with you.

And whenever your burdens are heavy,
when the road seems too hard for you to carry on;

then remember God’s call,
and the promise that God shares it all:
love surrounding, grace abounding,
Spirit’s treasure, without measure:

God to guide you,
Christ beside you,
peace be with you.
